{ a lovely long weekend … }

And just when I thought the last of summer had been whisked away, an unexpected Indian Summer surprised us in October with beautiful warm days. The weather could not have come at a better time - during the Canadian Thanksgiving holiday where I shared time with loved ones and gave thanks over turkey with all the fixings followed by glasses of wine and a freshly baked pumpkin pie.

And when when it was all said and done instead of raking up the fallen October leaves… we headed out to the lake for one last *summer* swim at the beach.
